Art Director

Do you love that feeling when a game you’ve put blood, sweat and tears into completely smashes it?

.

Well, how about joining an incredibly successful independent game dev studio here in Ireland?

.

You’ll be Art Director over multiple projects. One core one that they’re working on right now, and some new projects in the pipeline. You’ll be the head honcho and will collaborate very closely with the company founders as well as various leads within the business, to make sure that the games you ship are a hit (no doubt they will be!)

.

This studio create AAA games, and they’ve won countless awards. Are you in?

.

You’ll be taking care of multiple things; their visual direction and standards, ensuring style continuity, managing pipelines and being able to get into technical detail with the team when needed. You’ll already have shipped AAA titles before, across various platforms and consoles, so you know how to keep things moving.

.

Your background is gaming. Whether that be as an artist, an animator or any other area, you know what goes into getting titles out there. As an Art Director, you’re not only at the helm when it comes to managing a team, but you’re there to share your knowledge. You’ve got the insight to be able to unstick people when they need. You can offer guidance and mentorship.

.

This is an incredibly supportive environment, where everyone there wants to be there and create amazing games. There’s a culture of sharing your knowledge, and helping colleagues to achieve what they want in their career.

.

For this one, you’ll need to have been working in the gaming industry for many years, and have shipped multiple titles as an AD. You’ve led teams in a production environment, know how to set up pipelines, and have a solid technical knowledge when it comes to things like Maya, Zbrush 3DS Max etc. (Unity/ Unreal would also be great!) You understand technical limitations and can collaborate with engineering just as much as artists, and can get amazing games out there into the World.
