Senior Performance Engineer

Have you got a passion for performance optimization and a meticulous eye for detail?

Do you fancy working with a brilliant team of software engineers dedicated to creating top-notch software, designed by developers for developers?

You’ll be strengthening our capacity to identify and resolve potential performance bottlenecks, and ensure optimal performance across all our systems. You’ll be applying your expertise in black box testing and load testing to ensure our systems are not only robust but also scalable to meet future demands. Additionally you’ll be analysing telemetry data from monitoring platforms to gain deeper insights into operational characteristics of our platforms.

What you’ll be doing:

Leveraging APM tools to monitor real-time system performance and preemptively address potential issues.Developing and implementing strategies for system enhancements, focusing on improving performance and reducing latency.Leading efforts in capacity planning to ensure our infrastructure meets current and future operational demands efficiently.Working closely with development, operations, and product teams to align performance goals with business objectives and customer needs.

What you need:

Extensive experience in performance testing and optimization, particularly within cloud environments.Hands-on experience with telemetry and APM tools (e.g., Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of conducting comprehensive performance analyses.Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and report on findings and recommendations.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet critical deadlines.

Location:

You can work from anywhere on the island of Ireland. Mainland UK could be fine also, with in-person meetings from time to time in Belfast.

Interview process:

3 rounds - 30 min intro chat followed by a technical round. Final culture-fit round at the end.
